The Situation Before REIRank

When Angela Brooks, owner of Peach State Home Buyers, first called our team, her entire lead flow depended on paid ads. Search her business by name and she showed up. Search anything a real motivated seller would actually type, and she was buried on page four or worse.

She’d never turned Google Ads off, because she was afraid of what would happen to her lead flow if she did. Organic search had never produced a single real lead for her business.

She wasn’t looking to abandon paid ads. She was looking for a second engine that didn’t cost her money every time it turned on.

Three things stood out when we audited her site:

#1. No technical foundation. The site wasn’t properly indexed, had no sitemap submitted to Google, and loaded slowly enough to hurt every ranking signal before content even mattered.

#2. Almost no local presence. Her Google Business Profile was unclaimed, and her business wasn’t listed consistently or sometimes at all  across the local directories Google uses to judge whether a business is real and trustworthy.

#3. No content built around how sellers actually search. The handful of pages that existed were generic “we buy houses” copy nothing built around specific cities or specific seller situations like probate, foreclosure, or inherited property.

The Strategy

We didn’t chase rankings for vanity keywords. We built Angela’s organic presence around exactly how a motivated seller in her market searches — using local SEO built city by city, situation by situation, instead of one generic page trying to rank for everything.

Phase 1 — Technical Foundation (Weeks 1–2)

None of the content work would have mattered if Google couldn’t properly crawl and trust the site.

Technical SEO audit and fixes. Corrected broken sitemap issues, resolved crawl errors, and got Search Console reporting clean indexing status across the entire site.

Core Web Vitals and page speed. Compressed images, cleaned up render-blocking scripts, and cut mobile load time by more than half.

Schema markup and tracking. Added LocalBusiness and Organization schema, and installed GA4 and Search Console with full goal tracking so organic performance could actually be measured.

Phase 2 — Local & On-Page (Weeks 2–6)

With the technical foundation solid, we built the presence Google needed to see to trust the business locally.

City-specific landing pages. Built dedicated pages for Marietta, Decatur, Stone Mountain, Sandy Springs, and Alpharetta each with local language, local trust signals, and its own conversion path, instead of one generic page trying to rank everywhere at once.

Google Business Profile, fully optimized. Claimed and verified the listing, built out service areas, added real property photos, and wrote a keyword-rich business description.
Tier 3 — Remarketing audiences built from site visitors and lead form openers.

Each keyword cluster had its own ad group, ad copy, and dedicated landing page. No more generic homepage traffic.

Added 120 negative keywords on day one — agents, realtors, MLS, listing, buy a house, homes for sale, and every variation. This alone cut wasted spending by an estimated 34% in the first two weeks.

Multiple city local SEO

A system for reviews, not a one-time push.

Replaced the generic “we buy houses” ad with four situation-specific campaigns:

Built an automated review request flow tied directly to deal closings, so new reviews came in consistently instead of relying on someone remembering to ask.
On-page keyword mapping. Matched every page to a specific set of search terms based on real seller search behavior in her market, rather than guessing at what “sounded” important.
Campaign 3 — Tired landlord: “Done being a landlord? We buy rental properties — tenants and all.”
Campaign 4 — General motivated seller: “Need to sell fast? No repairs. No agent fees. Cash offer in 24 hours.”

Each campaign had its own Instant Lead Form with a qualifying question: “What best describes your situation?” — foreclosure, inherited, relocating, behind on payments, other. This single addition reduced unqualified lead volume by 41% while keeping total lead volume stable.

Phase 3 — Content & Authority (Month 2 Ongoing)

With the foundation and local presence in place, we built the content and authority to keep rankings climbing.

Situation-specific blog content. Published long-form posts targeting real distressed-seller scenarios — probate, foreclosure, inherited property, tired landlords — each internally linked to relevant city pages.

Local citation cleanup. Standardized her business name, address, and phone number across every major directory, removing conflicting signals that had been confusing Google.

Local backlink outreach. Built relationships with local news sites and community organizations to earn genuine local backlinks, rather than chasing low-quality link farms.

The Results

Month 3 — Early Traction

By month three, the technical fixes and first city pages were live, and early rankings movement was already showing up in Search Console.

Month 6 — Full System Running

Six months in, the content engine had been compounding, the Google Business Profile was fully active, and organic traffic had become a real, measurable lead source.

What the Client Said

“I used to be terrified of what would happen if I ever turned off my Google Ads. Now sellers find us organically every single week, and it doesn’t cost us a dollar when they do. REIRank gave us a second engine we didn’t have before.”
— Angela Brooks, Owner, Peach State Home Buyers
Organic search had gone from a channel that produced zero leads to a genuine second engine — one that kept generating motivated sellers whether or not the ad budget was even turned on.

What Made the Difference

#1. We fixed the foundation first. None of the content or link-building work would have mattered if Google couldn’t properly crawl and trust the site.

#2. City by city, not one generic page. Each landing page matched exactly how a seller in that specific city actually searches, instead of competing against itself for one broad keyword.

#3. Google Business Profile and reviews closed the trust gap. Showing up in the map pack with real, recent reviews turned browsers into callers.

What This Means for Your Business

If every lead you generate costs you money the moment your ad budget turns off, you don’t have a lead generation system — you have a rental. Organic search is the only channel that keeps producing leads whether or not you’re paying for clicks that day.

The investors who build real organic authority do three things consistently:

#1. They fix the technical foundation first, since no amount of content overcomes a site Google can’t properly crawl or trust.

#2. They build city-specific pages, instead of one generic page trying to rank for every market at once.

#3. They treat reviews and local trust signals as infrastructure, not an afterthought, since Google — and sellers — trust a business the map pack already trusts.

REIRank was built to deliver exactly this — for real estate investors who are serious about building an organic lead engine that doesn’t disappear the moment the ad spend does.
